Paranormal Activity goes to Japan

Apparently, there is an official Paranormal Activity sequel set and made in Japan. Paranormal Activity 2: Tokyo Night. Here’s the new trailer. It’s an interesting idea, certainly, to take a license and place it in a different culture, but I’m not sure what to make of this. The trailer isn’t very impressive, but I like the idea of simultaneous camera views of different rooms. That has potential. What do you think?

And in case you haven’t seen it yet, here’s the trailer for the upcoming American sequel. Due in theaters on Halloween weekend. Regardless of how you feel about the original or the idea of a sequel, some of the imagery hidden in this trailer is great.

If you didn’t catch it, stop it at around the 55 second mark with the figure in the doorway. There’s something much more interesting than the figure happening in that shot. Did you see it? Creepity!*

*Edit: The screencap on the video seems to be the image I’m referring to, so that’s easy. Takes the fun out of it a bit though. :)
